Mission

Our mission is to share the latest technologies, skills and research from the seaweed aquaculture industry to our home in the county of Cornwall. We want to help local people and families, with employment and careers in seaweed farming through excellent training schemes. Within our mission we also want to promote women in renewable energies and aquaculture through STEM outreach and internships into a professional career.

Aims

The Seaweed Aquaculture Academy Trust aims to contribute to the growing UK industry of seaweed aquaculture. By supporting the need for standardisation and procedures in the production of growing, harvesting and processing seaweed. We aim to be involved in current research into coastal erosion, carbon sequestration, protecting local habitats and biodiversity through advocating for HPMA's and the wildlife corridor along the West of England coastline. Finally we aim to support local talent and families into employment through training, skill development using new technologies and delivering qualifications into seaweed aquaculture.
